What You will Need! Reserve the Date.
The best time to schedule an event is when parents can volunteer and
spend time with their family at your event. The best time is a Friday
evening or the day before a vacation day. The worst time is a Saturday
afternoon or evening.
Schedule your event when there is less competition from outdoor events.
That means October- November and February, March and April.
The school gym or utility/lunch room is a good location in the school.
Phone for Volunteers Assign one family to a game for 1/2 the
event. You will then need two families for each game/activity. Schedule
extra families to cover "no shows". Each game/activity needs at least one
adult. Tables
are Needed Ask to use tables to put games, prizes, and tickets on. The
best tables are banquet type six or eight feet long. Helpers are needed to set-up
Ask your set-up crew to arrive 2 1/2 or 3 hours before your event begins. Helpers are needed
to cleanup Schedule fresh people to help clean up. Send thank you notes to all your volunteers.
Recognize your volunteers. A thank you will help you get these people back
for your next event. Print their names in your next newsletter.
Special Value to rent equipment for a School fun fair.
A skill with front only booth rent for $10 each plus $50 for delivery and
pickup. Most groups order 10 to 12 games for their event. Prizes are extra. Only pay for items given
out using a redemption coupon system. Most groups earn between 30% and 50%
profit. Fun Food machine rental is 1/2 price and a Spacewalk Bounce can be
added and earn 25% profit.
Event must be held on Friday evening or day before a vacation day for about
3 hours between January and April. |
